Position: Substitute Classroom Aide
Job Summary: Position duties vary with daily assignments. Assists the teacher and teacher assistant in the classroom performing routine maintenance, light housekeeping, assisting with meals, preparing activity materials and working with children in classroom as assigned. As transportation aide, ensures that children observe CPCD safety rules and regulations while traveling on the CPCD vehicle. As child care provider, provide care to CPCD children and siblings a minimum of two nights per month at parent functions, and relate to children in a positive manner.
Qualifications: Training in child care is preferred. Volunteer or paid preschool experience preferred; ability to follow through on assigned tasks; ability to relate to children, parents, staff and other volunteers. Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred. Must have a pre-employment physical, TB test and drug screen (provided). Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 40 pounds. Must have current First Aid and Infant, Child and Adult CPR certifications within 90 days of employment (provided).
Wage and Hours: $7.56/hour, Tuesday - Friday.
