Now Is The Time Breakfast
Thank you for "coloring a child's future" at this year's Now Is The Time Breakfast.
For children living in poverty, challenged by a special need, or at risk of school failure, an early childhood education can lead to a future full of color and possibilities. That’s what nearly 600 guests learned at Community Partnership for Child Development’s (CPCD) “Now is the Time to Color a Child’s Future” Community Fundraising Breakfast Thursday, September 25th, at the Doubletree Hotel.
The annual event raises money for our Head Start, Early Head Start, and Colorado Preschool Programs, which serve more than 1,700 El Paso County newborn through 5-year-old children and their families. Approximately $130,000 was donated at this year’s one-hour event. Sponsors who helped bring in this impressive total were US Bank, Benefit Resources, Wells Fargo Insurance, USAA, Update Printing, KKTV and Comcast.
Again, thank you to all our sponsors, leadership givers, volunteers, Table Captains and generous doors who helped make this event such a huge success.
To find out how you can help CPCD color a child’s future at next year’s "Now is the Time" breakfast, please contact Christine Lyle at CLyle@cpcd.org or call 635-1536, ext. 277.

A Winning Combination
Since Robyn began attending Head Start combined with child care at the Urban League Child Development Center in August, a lot has happened. She’s learning basic skills and interacting and playing with other children. CPCD’s comprehensive child and family services allowed Robyn, age four, to receive a free medical and dental assessment—an activity not typically performed in child care centers. More
