Governance
Community Partnership for Child Development has a unique model of shared governance allowing both parents and board members to share responsibility for the agency. This governance model consists of two components: A Board of Directors – comprised of community leaders; and the Parent Policy Council – comprised of parents of children served by our programs, and representatives of community organizations.
- The Board of Directors is fiscally and legally responsible for the agency. They also set the vision and overall goals of CPCD.
- The Parent Policy Council approves all policies and procedures, program design decisions, budgets and grant applications.
Together, these two bodies ensure that CPCD’s services are forward-thinking and are responsive to the needs of children and families.
